Are you ready for Teams Meeting Rooms?
Microsoft Teams Room systems have the following requirements for platform infrastructure/Services:
Teams/Skype for Business:
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Skype for Business Server 2019
- Microsoft Skype for Business Server 2015
- Microsoft Skype for Business Online
- Exchange Server 2013 SP1 or later
- Exchange Server 2016
- Exchange Online
Platform infrastructure must be deployed and configured according to Microsoft documentation.
To enable ad-hoc calling from the MTR systems in meeting rooms, PSTN calling services must be integrated with Microsoft Teams. Generation-e recommends deploying Telstra Calling for Office 365 or Teams Direct Routing for PSTN integration.
Each MTR system must have an Office 365 Meeting Room SKU/subscription.
Device accounts for MTR's should be excluded from Azure AD conditional access policies that enforce multi factor authentication or other conditions that may prevent the account from signing in.
MTR systems must use DHCP IP addressing.
Generation-e recommends allowing 4Mbps symmetric bandwidth from each MTR system to the Skype for Business front end servers or the SfB Online/Teams/Office 365 tenancy.
Ensure the MTR systems have TCP port 80 & 443 access to the internet. For specific hosts and IP destinations refer to: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/office365/enterprise/urls-and-ip-address-ranges
Microsoft recommends that MTR systems bypass proxy servers and connect directly to SfB/Teams services.
Ensure that UDP ports 3478-3481 are open to IP subnets 188.8.131.52/18, 184.108.40.206/14, and 220.127.116.11/14
